Hungary’s first community Comics Library opened on 13 December. The library aims at making comics available to the general public and thereby raise awareness of the little known medium in Hungary. All comics and graphic novels are donations. The library is located in Nem Adom Fel Café (literally: I Don’t Give Up Café”). Link (Hungarian, ES)

The contemporary section of the successful Comics as Narrative exhibition, which was on display in the National Széchényi Library during the summer, is exhibited at the University of Pécs in the re:public project space between 2 December 2018 and 25 January 2019.(ES)

The Portuguese company ‘Chili com Carne’ published the book Sírio, by the Peruvian comic author Martin López Lam. The book was published during Raia, the third edition of an event focused on small editors and graphic artists, was held in Anjos70. Link (14/12/2018, Portuguese, RR)

There is a CFP for 2019’s joint International BD Society and International Graphic Novel and Comics Conference, “Storyworlds and Transmedia Universes in Comics & Graphic Novels”.
